Vauxhall Senator timing

Car: Vauxhall Senator
Variant: 24 vcd manual
Model Year: 1993
Valve timing keeps jumping and bending valves why any help would help

When you replace the cambelt , do you replace with the rollers and tensioner kit ? Must be losing tension if it's jumping .

Are the sprockets immobilised correctly and all timing marks aligned

Meant to ask , is it a timing belt or chain on that car ?

If its a chain then the tensioner may be at fault or the chain stretched

Watch that you do not have a broken key, that locates the sprockets to the camshaft.
