Vauxhall Nova rear lights not working

I noticed the other day my rear lights have stopped working,the front are working as they should but the rear apart from the brake lights have stopped.
any ideas anyone.

Checked the bulbs ?

yes checked bulbs and replaced just in case.

If no. plate light not working also , check to see if they are covered by a fuse . If not , need to get a test lamp / meter and see if power getting to bulb holder / side light .
