Vauxhall Nova error code 33 on my vauxhall nova

Car: Vauxhall Nova
Model Year: 1993
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
hey there, iv literally spent weeks trying to diagnose an excessive idling fault on my nova today i eventually got an error code from it using the paper clip method........the fault code came up as code 33 which iv found is high voltage going through my map sensor.
my query is how to solve this problem, i can buy a new map sensor but will this solve the problem or does the problem lie with the electrics and if so how do i lower the voltage going to it.

if anyone can help or set me on the right track id much appreciate it

make sure it has no vacuum leaks to pipes that might go to the map sensor or any other vacuum pipes you find that com off the inlet manifold
