Vauxhall Meriva car has slight rattle but oil warning light has never come on, does this mean it isn’t the oil being low?

Oil warning light can be on due to low pressure for whatever reason , oil and filter overdue changing , faulty oil pressure switch to name a few causes . Low oil wont help either , especially accompanied with any engine rattles . Could also consider changing fuel filter if not been done as per service schedule
