Vauxhall Meriva windscreen

Is it just my bad luck or is there a problem with stone chip on the meriva windscreens.l have been hit four times in the four months I have had this car.having to replace the screen twice and when the fitter repaired the first one he informed me it had already be replaced before.

Couple of friends have Merivas , none had to replace w/screen . Both have had cars for nearly 3 yrs ,
