Vauxhall Meriva clutch/gearbox on tiptronic

Car: Vauxhall Meriva
Variant: 1.6 tiptronic gearbox
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
when putting the car into reverse the clutch grinds and the car sometimes stalls, this shouldnt happen to an automatic with no clutch. this problem sometimes happens in first gear too tho not as regular. the car still runs but am afraid it may just not move someday soon, does anyone have any ideas on the problem i would be very grateful.

I'm a little confused here,
to my knowledge that car is fitted with an "easytronic"gear box,not a triptronic,
and the easytronic most definately has a clutch.
but either way you need it plugged into Vauxhall diagnostics to acess the gearbox ecu.and check for codes and function.

as above i would have thought easytronic would be fitted if no warning lights are on i would suspect worn clutch bearing so would advise having a new complete clutch fitted
