Vauxhall Insignia ticking/tapping noise from dashboard/heater

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Variant: 2.0cdti 160 exclusive plus pack
Model Year: 2009
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I get an intermittent tapping or ticking type noise from behind passenger side of dashboard. The noise is connected to climate control as when you alter settings the noise becomes more noticeable. I took the car to my local vauxhall dealer and they said its the cogs or flaps on the heater and all insignias have this fault and its something you have to live with!. I FIND IT VERY ANNOYING. does anyone else have this fault? or know of a solution? thankyou.

Mine is fixed! I took the car to my local tyre centre and they re-balanced the tyres. The noise has now gone. Must have been an upwards vibration. Cost me £15.

I get a vibration/resonance noise problem which occurs at when the rev counter is between 17 and 20. I also think the problem is temperature related as it is not always there. Vauxhall service have been useless. I have beenon a test drive with four different Engineers and they all agree there is an issue but they have no idea how to fix it. Some days you can play a tune with the noise by simply reving through the 17 barrier. Does anyone have any suggestions?
