Vauxhall Insignia brakes stoping vehicle without applying any brakes

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Variant: 1.5 petrol
Model Year: 2018
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Indignia 2018. 1.5 petrol. When up a hill using the usual brake, clutch then gas pedal, something weird happens-the brakes stop the car slowly, so even if it s downhill and take it out of gear it stops WITHOUT pressing any brake. At this point i have to stop obviously and when waiting a few seconds or press down the electronic handbrake just then I can continue untill the next hill. What happened with the cars that brake just when you wanted, this is ridiculous. Please any help is greatly appreciated

Take it to a Vauxhall dealership to see if it's a known fault ( never heard of any car acting as you describe ) and diagnostic fault code scan if needed
