Vauxhall Insignia both heated front seats not working

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Variant: 1.5 turbo sri sports
Model Year: 2017
was working fine slowly the indicater lights on the switches went from full on 3 lights down to 1 light on until it packed up alltogether thought it strange that both seats woul pack up together i would have expected one but not both at the same time checked fuses ok amate put it on his diagnostic did not show any fault said it could be fault on software and it would have to go to main dealer who wanted 99 pound to do this for first hour then 99 pounds for every hour after priced up heater pads @109 pounds each just in case would be a very expensive repair cheaper to have a cold bum any ideas

Does seem strange both failing at same time , thinking about it , unlikely . Getting it scanned by Vauxhall should define exactly where the fault lies unless you know someone with a Tech 3 scanner to check it out . Heated seats , vibrating / massaging seats , heated steering wheel .......................... how did we manage before ?

P.s
My son thinks the heated seats on his car are the dogs bollocks .

Can easily be checked using an ohm meter ,see if your base grids are getting a circuit ,usually those that fail first
