Vauxhall Insignia 2015 insignia tailgate only opens slightly

If you can get it open ,you should be able to manually push up on the tailgate to fully open it,if there’s nothing jammed,but root cause could be your tailgate lock or actual rams themselves .

You tried adjusting the tailgate operation mode / setting ?

I did adjust the height and this seemed to cause the problem. I’ve managed to get it open but now the close button on tailgate isn’t working.

Could be water ingress either on lock , tailgate control module or just faulty units . Could also check the fuses . Might be best to scan with Tech 2/3 or similar .
