Oil warning light stays on even after a few mins. Can anyone shed any light on possible problems? Checked oil and seems plenty in

Could be a faulty oil pressure switch / sender .

Another possible cause is the seal on the oil pick up but needs dropping the sump to replace .

Reading both your posts now , looks like oil pump may have failed and possibly engine seized .
