Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Variant: Elite Nav Ecoflex
Model Year: 2012
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
I only have ahd the car 3 months and its perfect in every way, the only thing that troubles me is there is a knocking sound coming from the front right hand wheel area, There is no loose play in the steering and its there is no real vibaration. It knocks on small rough areas on the road when i am driving. I have checked the wheels for loosness but everything solid. Anyone got any ideas ?

Many possible causes .Could be drop arm links , top suspension mounting , brake pad rattle , to name a few .

Hi;
I've had similar experience especially when on a bumpy road, real aggravating noise sometimes like a bag of bolts rattling front off-side.
Local Vauxhall after checking with me cause of sound, the dealer had me replace disk brake shroud which cured the noise for a while. About a year later the sound returned and they played around with same shroud moving it out from disk and have had no repeat since.
Hope this helps?
