Vauxhall Insignia unusual noise

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Variant: 2 litre cdti se
Model Year: 2010
Categories: Leaks & Noises
When I switch my engine off, I have an insignia, there is a noise coming from the engine area, that I can only describe as sounding like a fog horn. Anyone have any ideas please.

Some Vauxhalls are fitted with a thing called a secondary air pump and these can make some very odd noises.

I had the same problem with my insignia I took it to vauxhall dealer and they told me they are aware of this fault but it is not on recall.there is a thin pipe coming from turbo to front panel that goes in a small white module and vauxhall dealer put an extra little black module on it an this cured the problem an I've not heard it for a year hope this helps
