Vauxhall Insignia radio display flashing

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Variant: 1.8 Exclusiv
Model Year: 2011
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
When the car is be driven every now and again the radio/date/temp display goes blank and then comes back this usually happens when the indicator stalk is being used.Just recently the car has a new battery and alternator fitted as the original battery on the car according to the RAC had a dead cell.
The garage that serviced the car told me that the original alternator had a fault and replaced it.All charging rates look ok 12.4 with the engine off and 14.4 with the engine running.Would be grateful for any suggestions on the display.

Have you checked owners h/book as some VXs had a fuse that covered instruments/information dIsplay.Could be a dodgy fuse .

I have had the car checked by an independent auto electrician and he has found that there is a problem with the body control module not communicating with the ECU code U0087.He says it could need a software update.Hopefully this will resolve the problem.
