Vauxhall Insignia no idle at engine start in hot weather

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Variant: 1.8 petrol
Model Year: 2010
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
This recent hot weather has thrown up an issue with my Insignia. When the engine is started there is no idle and the engine stalls. It feels as though it is misfiring. It then runs lumpy until the engine reaches normal operating temperature and then everything is OK. There are no warning lights showing.

The problem does not occur first thing in the morning when it is cool and there are no warning lights showing.

The only other notable event was ignition coil failed and was replaced approx 6 weeks ago,

Was going to suggest engine coolant temp sensor which lets ECU know how much fuel needed i.e more fuel on cold start and less when hot . But you say it's fine on cold start which MAY indicate it's functioning o.k .Dont know mileage but have basics like plugs been changed ?

Thanks for your comments. Plugs were checked a few weeks ago as part of the diagnostics when my ignition coil failed and was replaced.

There has been quite a few software updates of the ECU (electronic control unit) on that car , but if serviced per schedule at VX dealership this would have been covered .Possibly check with Vauxhall dealership to see if your car is up to date or needing attention ?
