Vauxhall Insignia abs light comes on when steering lock is on

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Variant: 1.8 SRI
Model Year: 2009
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Every time I put my steering lock on the ABS light comes on and it says Service ESP, when I take the key out of the ignition and restart the car the light goes out.

I have taken the car to the garage and they don't know what the problem is can anyone suggest anything before I go to another garage and they rip me off for something that it isn't.

May need to get the codes read via a tech 2 system which is usually operated by vauxhall. Unless you can find a local garage that specialise in vauxhall diagnostics, then they may operate the tech2 for a little less money...
