Vauxhall Insignia metal on metal grinfding noise when parking.

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Variant: 2.0D Exclusive
Model Year: 2009
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
When I park / reverse out of car parking spaces I get an metal grinding noise coming from the steering. It does not necessarily happen at full lock and does not always do it. I have taken it to the dealership and they cant find a problem.

This is only 1 of many issues I have had with the car since I bought it and they still have not fixed it. So far I have had a new clutch, new flywheel, water pump replaced, oil flushed out of my water system, and more. Wha a knacker, any similar stories?

Check the springs to make sure they are not broken...
Also check the bearing in the top of the strut mount...
