Vauxhall Grandland X low gears not engaging.

Check with your dealership if this is a known fault or any recall in relation to this fault . I think there were problems on some years with the clutch master cylinder and may have been replaced under warranty . Better get it checked and logged on Vauxhall sytem in case it develops , This is from another member

Hired the Vauxhall Grand Land X over four year term but now in third year and broke down on motorway clutch and gear box completely seized bottom line both need replacing and Vauxhall Inform me warranty expired in March so don’t cover the four year lease term ???Need to pay over £3000 to get fixed to then give it back in eleven months after paying £300 a month for four years never never again will I buy or lease a Vauxhall

Thank you. I have the car booked in with the original main dealership where it was purchased. I had a similar problem with second gear shortly after purchase but was told “there is nothing wrong”. The problem is intermittent so arguing is difficult and it was only on a long trip recently that it suddenly became acute before clearing after an overnight stop.

It can be frustrating trying to replicate intermittent faults for diagnosing at times , but keep at them for a solution
