With charge lead plugged in, message on dash says ‘charging complete’ even though it is not. Engine management light is on saying fault needs repair. Any ideas?

Only way you will find the answer is to a diagnostic scan carried out with suitable equipment to cover ALL systems / modules

My Citroën C5 hybrid has same issue after being in for battery related recalls. Citroen have declared battery needs replacement but it's been six weeks now as they can't get any. I've found others online with Citroens and Peugeots with same issue after recalls. These models all use the same traction battery system.

I got a Grandland X hybrid with the same issue.
Since August 23, I have a message on the dashboard saying engine needs repairs.
The traction battery need to be replace.
We are in November 23 (so 4 months) no news.
The dealership ask me to contact Vauxhall customer services and they said no information about when your back order will be available.
This is not acceptable so I will see how to solve this. It's can't stay like this

Exactly my situation. After several false starts I am now told the traction battery needs replacing. It’s been 3 weeks now with no news on an expected delivery of new battery!

Terrible service with no news of parts needed after that length of time

I also have a Grandland x hybrid 4 2020 and had exactly the same issue with the battery in Aug 23. It took the Vauxhall dealer over a week, in and out of the garage, to diagnose the problem. They fitted a new battery that solved it but it took them over a month to order it in and fit it.

Full marks to Lookers in St Helens. They replaced the battery and the ECU. It took over 6 weeks but they loaned me a car so no complaints from me. It is worrying that the battery needed replacing after less than 16000 miles. I think I will go back to petrol only engines!

" I think I will go back to petrol only engines!" agree 100%

My 69 plate Vauxhall Grandland Hybrid 4 with less than 40k miles had the Engine fault: Repair needed message come up at beginning of Nov 23. Dealer after some discussion with Vauxhall diagnosed replacement traction battery required which took nearly 3 months to arrive. Initial quoted cost for repair was £10k with a "generous" offer of £3k contribution from Vauxhall. Dealer needed REMINDING that Electric Traction components had a 8 year warranty (clearly a "simple" error/omission of behalf of both Dealer and Vauxhall after all who'd know :( ).

Now 6 months into replacement traction battery for Vauxhall Grandland Hybrid with a further 6k miles and a slightly different fault message has appeared "Electric traction system fault: speed is limited, repair the vehicle". Hopefully we won't have to go through the whole process again :( .
