Ford warranty for example is 3 years or 60000 miles unless you take out an extended warranty which most manufacturers can offer . Easy to be wise after the event . Even then , unlikely clutch would be covered ( unless failed part and not wear and tear ) But sore bill to have to pay out

Only done 37000 and clutch could live with but gear box I’m struggling with as never had to replace a gear box on cars I had for years with treble the milage but should of read the small print that warranty did not cover the full term of the lease. One hard lesson learnt.

Gearbox failure at 37000 is unusual unless possibly damaged by clutch collapse but would really need to see report on why they say it needs replaced and their diagnosing of cause

Thanks will ask the garage and see what they say but be interesting to know if this is a common complaint with the Grand land .

I brought a Grandland X in January 2022 on PCP. After 2mths the whole gearbox had to be removed and replaced. The car is 19 plate...at the time only did just over 18,000. Its been one thing after another and Vauxhall could not careless !! I'm complained to Ombudsman. Had the car about 20 mths and its been in the garage around 5/6 times.

Hi I have just got the car back after waiting four weeks had to replace gear box clutch and flywheel so cost me over £3000 and it’s a lease car which I have had three years and will be giving it back next July.sent five emails to vauxuall customer care team nothing back and even the manager at Vauxhall garage said this should not of happened on a low milage three year old car and the milage is 29thousand miles not 37 absolute joke but will take it further.

It's bad when Vauxhall customer care team do not even reply . I wish you luck in getting it resolved , keep at them

We have had both the problems described above. Whole new gearbox last year luckily was still under manufacturers 3 year warranty and this year whole new flywheel and clutch at over 2k. Complianed to Vauxhall but got nowhere so taking it further. These parts should not fail before 38k miles unless I am driving the car like max verstappen, which I’m not

Would have thought they would have checked / replaced clutch and flywheel at same time as changing gearbox

I have sent nine emails to Vauxhall customer care team no response and resolver also contacted them no response it is 8 weeks next week so will be contacting ombudsman but Vauxhall seriously need to be looked into because the cars are clearly not fit for purpose and you only have to go on trust pilot to see hundreds of bed reviews.wish all the best
