Vauxhall Grandland X engine misfires and cooling fan not switching off for about 7-10 minutes. happens every six weeks approx.

Car: Vauxhall Grandland X
Variant: 1.2 turbo
Model Year: 2020
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
ENGINE LOOSES POWER
When the engine starts to misfire it's always been hot or at least warm and the engine has been switched off a while; say 20 mins to 2 hours on average. The cooling fan seems to run on for too long but does switch off eventually. spark plugs have been changed, spark coils checked and compressions checked. Have just started then stopped a warm engine and the cooling fan comes on for no apparent reason and runs for a while. I am now wondering if the cooling system has a 'dodgy' thermostat and the scan tool is missing this? Could this cause the CPU to misinterpret a message and over-fuel the cylinders, causing the engine to jump about? (or am I just 'clutching at straws')?

Did you get the bottom of this my Grandland X is doing the exact same thing, The garage told me they had fixed it got round the corner same thing happened. Now they are saying they can’t fix it and to take it somewhere else. Refusing to refund me as well!
