Vauxhall Frontera grinding brakes

Car: Vauxhall Frontera
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi i have an intermittent problem with my brakes, i have had them checked by kwikfit, who renewed the brake fluid and bled the brakes they reported no problem. When i come to slow down and touch the brake pedal, i hear a loud grating sound, the car shudders, the brake pedal drops then becomes resistant against my foot, sometimes it happens quite gently but other times it's quite violent, any help would be great, as i don't feel safe driving this car and everyone seems to be baffled!

Could be dirt / grit in brakes . You should get front pads removed , calliper cleaned out and pistons checked. Then coat pads and contact points with Copperslip grease , making sure they are free and sliding o.k in calliper and rebuild .Normally this should cure noise .
