Vauxhall Frontera no drive leaking oil from gear box

we have just bought this car noticed oil but did not know from where but now have no drive?

You may have driven this car empty for engine oil due to the leak and therefore damaged the engine beyond repair. If you have break down cover try and get them out to you first to inspect your engine and alternatively take it to a garage for you if they cannot fix it. Do not make further attempts to drive your car until you have seriously located the problem.

if car starts but has no drive its probaly moore like an auto box issue possibley caused from lack of oil check the cables are ok first as above and if you have breakdown cover try and use them at least for a diagnosis much easier when you have eyes and hands on

Have to agree with dresser on this one. Does sound like a gearbox problem...
