Vauxhall Corsa key wont turn in hot weather

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
this is becoming a regular occurance because of the hot weather, it is taking me ages to get my key to turn, i really have to pull hard on the steering wheel and it takes a good 10-15 minutes for me to finally manage it

Sounds like faulty ignition key barrel / switch .

middle part of the lock that turns when you turn the key is held into the outer core of the lock by a small bar at the rear, in hot weather this bar makes an indentation in the outer core of the lock and stops it from turning, any decent auto locksmith in your local area will be able to fix without changing the lock
