Vauxhall Corsa steering lock won't undo and can't turn key

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi,
My girlfriends car recently had the wiper arm broken, so I removed it and ordered the replacement part! Stupidly I said it was alright to drive until the spare part arrived! Now the stering lock came on and the keys (Spare as well) won't turn to remove the steering lock, she doesn't have the master key, but without being able to get power to any controls I'm stuck as to what it can be!! Immobilser or something I've done! Any help or ideas welcome!

TIA
Budgie

with regards to the steering lock you will need to either try to remove the lock and take it to the local dealers and have them rebuild the lock for you failing that you will have to call a lock smith out to sort the problem for you this is very common fault on all the corsas and astras and vectras bacically all the vauxhalls suffer with this problem
