Vauxhall Corsa engine problem???

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I took my vauxhall corsa to the garage yesterday after I noticed on a long journey back after christmas when I was on the motorway going just over 70mph the car started to jerk a bit and there was a lack of power if I tried to accelerate. Accompanying this jolting there was also a sort of ticking/rattling sound coming from under the bonnet on the drivers side. It has started to do this even when I'm going at lower speeds now aswell.

Is this something to do with fuel injection through the engine?

I am really not a car person so I cannot tell what is wrong. And the garage say they have had a look and cannot find anything wrong.

Has anyone got any ideas of what it could be? I would be very grateful of some help :)

Thanks

You dont say what engine in car . Corsas had a fault with timing chains and were subject to a recall for this , very common .

There was also a fault with camshaft bearing bolt recall affecting 1.0L only .Quite important to get engine oil and filter changed regularly on that car also .Its possible it could be something else .Would suggest you get a mechanic to go out with you on a road test to hear noise .
