Vauxhall Corsa losing power and pulling back then jerking forward

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Variant: 1.2 merit
Model Year: 1995
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
hi, i have a 1995 1.2 corsa merit and recently it has started to lose power and act as if it is about to stall, when driving it also feels that something is pulling the car back and then after a bit it kicks and flys forward, i thought it could be a miss fire of the spark plugs but they are all working fine and my ht leads have just been changed, it was suggested that it could be a bloke in my fuel causing a fuel starvation.... any suggestions would help because I'm running out of ideas..

You wont have a crank sensor on this engine or an airflow meter - 1995 will be a C12NZ engine. Sounds like a classic coolant temp sensor problem but as also stated, this lumps suffer from Distributor Hall sensor failure, Ignition module failure (Under ignition coil) or Coil problems.

Ideally you want to check for trouble codes and if there are none stored I would be looking at the above without a doubt. These simple little cars really only suffer from these faults.
