Vauxhall Corsa rolling back when pulling off on hill

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Variant: 1.2 SXi Easytronic
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
I have just purchased this car and when I went to pull off on a hill (only paused for a second or two)the car rolled back, is this normal. I have owned to previous automatics (none of them Vauxhall) and they did not do this at all. Also the "A" flashed this morning when I tried to pull off from traffic lights and wouldn't move, is this because I didn't have my foot on brake when took out of neutral to A. Many thanks

Can get problems with that box , here is an example from another forum of Easytronic faults,

Probably best bet to get a diagnostic check on box.
