Vauxhall Corsa tappin noise in engine when accelorating

the engine makes a tapping/knocking noise when i accelerate usually between 2 and 3 thousand revs checked oil and is fine just had service in december its done 141,567 miles will it die on me at the most unexpected time ?. it also rattles when in stationery, please help im confused

Hard to say without hearing noise , but timing chain rattle very common .Any mechanic / garage listening to rattle will confirm if it is chain easily enough .
