Vauxhall Corsa noisey exhaust

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Variant: 1.2 merit
Model Year: 1995
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
For the last couple of weeks ive noticed my exhaust has been chugging quite a bit, but it's also blowing out a lot of smoke, could this be due to the cold weather or something else?? ive checked the oil and water levels and the car has plenty of petrol. The car has also been holding back when pulling away but then flying when it gets going.

Cold , damp weather exhaust tends to smoke more . If not using water ,don't worry . "Holding back " seems to indicate engine misfire . When was car last serviced / tuned ? Could be plugs or plug leads , easiest and cheapest to check first .
