Vauxhall Corsa clunks going into reverse,going forwards no problems

My daughters car clunks when you put into reverse,drives perfect in auto forwards,not so good when you use the tiptronic,she has been told its the clutch in the auto box ? any one any idea please thanks (I am starting to hate cars )
