Vauxhall Corsa front passenger seat back is stuck down

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Variant: 1.4 sxi ac 3 door
Model Year: 2007
The back of the seat is stuck down, all cables are OK, but they are very slack, I cannot see anything broken.

Must be something wrong if the cables are not releasing the locking mechanism , check nothing jamming on tracks

Thanks for reply. The tracks are clear the forward and back is ok now I have undone the spring on the mechanism
I think it may be the rotary unit on the left and right hand side . The unit that you adjust the back of the seat up and down with has the slack cable enough for me to get my finger behind and pull it out about an inch. Its as though the rotary unit has gone past its point of no return
The other cable that goes to the spring underneath is very tight and when it is located on its proper location stops the handle under the seat operating the forward and backwards seat action. Its difficult to explain in words. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ? ?

Misread your post , thought it was the tilt , apologies . Never done one on that car but this seems to show you the set up with the cables and how the run , might , might not help

Thanks again for reply. I
Do the two cables that are actuated by the lever on the side/ top of the back rest shown on the pic you sent pass over any guides if so maybe this is why the cables are slack.
