Vauxhall Corsa corsa eco flex tailgate not opening

Model Year: 2016
Tailgate on my corsa stopped working from outside. Have replaced button (under insignia) and the latch, also changed the fuse for the tailgate in case that was the issue but still no joy.

Check the wiring at top ( usually in rubber sheath ) where it passes into tailgate for damage / breaks

Thank you, I'll have a look at that as I'm running out of ideas and the MOT is due soon!
