Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Variant: 1.4ls auto
Model Year: 1994
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
i drive a 1.4 ls automatic corsa, have renewed the spark plugs and leads but still have power problems, have had a diagnostic check of the engine which was ok , the engine sounds empty and gutless especially at 50 mph and above , the gears want drop down and the engine is struggling , have been told it could be a blocked exhaust in the middle and end boxes , but not too sure, engine starts and idles fine sounds strangled

start the car and have someone rev the car for you and feel at the exhaust exit and if the pressure out of the exhaust is good then there is a problem some where else but for the price of these 2 sections of exhaust just have them replaced will cost around the 30 to 40 pounds mark fitted via a exhaust centre but not kwik fit as they will have your pants down they are a rip off
