Vauxhall Corsa will not rev over 1500 rpm

just bought van to fix (chain gone) done all work starts first time just not
revving over 1500rpm no codes but battery light comes on when the rev
reach 1500 good battery and alternator

So check the battery V and the 5 V reference to on of the engine sensors,
say the coolant temp sensor.
