Vauxhall Corsa front passenger seat release broken

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Variant: 1.4 sxi ac 3 door
Model Year: 2008
My front passenger seat has broken. The release handle to let people in the back no longer works. The seat is stuck folded facing forward and moves back and forth on the rails when driving. There is no resistance in the lever. Led to believe cables may have pinged off or snapped. Whats the worst case scenario??

Usually means replacing broken cables .Should be able to manually move / lock catch on track underneath as a temporary fix .Check nothing jamming at seat track .
