Vauxhall Corsa what is electrical component under seat, rear passenger side?

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Variant: 1.2
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Leaks & Noises
the floor rear of the car is soaked so i pulled carpet up and took off back seats and there was an electrical unit on the passenger side, it had water all around im guesin due to it being a low point cant find in manual what this component is and what it does? my remote locking has stopped working and radio now in safe mode so am wondering if the water has effected the unit.... Any ideas on what it is, is round but longer two sides and the wires go of to the left and into side casing

Possibly pyrothenic device for seat belt catch,or electric motor for seat, unless some one has fitted something .
