Vauxhall Corsa overheating

Please help!
I have a corsa 1.7d utility. I can start the car no problem. I drive down the road +- 10km
and the temperature gauge starts to go up. I stop the car and open the bonnet and it is steaming and the water bottle is whistling.
I have taken out the thermostat and replaced the water bottle cap but it still does the same, even when it idles?? It seems like that it builds up allot of pressure and it struggles to start after that.

Head gasket may have failed or it could be a problem with the head itself. At worst you could have a crack in a cylinder bore

Hi Paulieone,

Thank you for coming help me. Just some more questions.
There is no water mixed with oil, could it still be the head gasket?

Is it easy to replace the head gasket? Do you know where I can get the torque specs?

It could still be the head gasket .torque settings are normally on the packaging that the gasket comes in.
