Vauxhall Corsa warning light

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Variant: 1.3 Diesel
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I have a vauxhall corsa 1.3 CDTi. There is a light comming on on the dash which looks like a car with a spanner through it. It makes no difference to the running or economy but is driving me barmy. If I turn the ignition off and on it will clear but comes back on later.

Anyone got any ides as this is a new one on me

Cheers

warning light is used to show that you either have water in your fuel filter , that there is a glow plug issue the light will come on on start up then go out after a few miniutes or if an auto it is a warning for transmission fault try changing the filter first then you may need to get it checked with some diagnostics

Thanks for that. It's a glow plug. What threw me was the car starting up ok
