Vauxhall Combo 2009 combo 1.3cdti van - side door not opening

Car: Vauxhall Combo
Variant: Van 1.3CDTi
Model Year: 2009
The Central Locking has not worked in the Van for the 5 Years that I have had it. I just pull up the button and the Door will open from the outside. For a period of time now I need to pull up / push down the interior button 3 > 6 times before it will open on the outside. With the last week the side Door has not opened regardless of how many times I pull up / push down the button. I have taken off the Door Card and as far as I can see all the cables are connected and working.
Any help much appreciated.

W. Thank you for that. All fuses are fine. The Side Door has neither locked or unlocked with the Central Locking in the 5 Years that I have had the Van. any further suggestions?

Earlier today I also disconnected the Battery - both terminals for 2 Hours - no difference when re-connected.

Could check wiring back from the lock, actuator for power / any breakages .

Wh - thank you for pointing me in the correct direction. I had assumed (incorrectly) that when the Central Locking was not working in the Door there was no power in the unit.

This is how I resolved the issue;
The Door Card on the Door is comprised of two parts - an inner rectangle and an outer piece that runs around the edge - this piece has the Door Pocket in it and is perhaps impossible to get off when the Door is closed. I cut this off Left and Right with a multi tool to give me full access to inside the Door - the Pocket is then left in position. Because of what "Wh" said- kneeling inside the Van I pushed the forward wiring terminal block forward slightly - then locked and unlocked the Van with the Key from there and hey presto because the wiring now had a better connection it unlocked the Side Door for me. I then concluded that the Central locking could be got working again. I have now inserted an Ice Cream stick as seen in the photo to ensure there is a better connection in the wiring and the Door is now unlocking via the Central Locking. I notice that if I pull on the Door to check it is locked the Central Locking will not unlock it but I can manually unlock it wih the Up / Down button as before. I just have to trust it.
I assume another fix would be to remove the item with the tree Brass Flat Plates on it from the Door Pillar - turn it around - swap the bottom and top wires so they remain in their previous position - this means then that the three spring button contacts from the Door would be hitting a new area on the Brass Flat Plates.

Wh - many thanks for your help again.
Apologies _ i do not see any way to attach photos - I can forward the if anyone wants them.
