Vauxhall Combo wont restart when warmed up

Variant: 1.3 diesel

my combo van starts first time in the morning,but when its driven around and gets warmed up, and i stop and try to restart,it turns over but dont fire up.i have to open the bonnet to let the engine cool down,then after about 15 minutes or so it starts. ihave just replaced the battery there are no warning lights on the dash coming on thanks for looking

Try changing the engine coolant temp sensor . If faulty can send the wrong info to the ECU .
