Vauxhall Combo changed alternator twice still not starting help

i recently had a mini service, cam belt change and oil leak done on a car at my local garage. the day after i taken cd player out (aftermarket one) noticed the battery light came on the dash. took no notice. once engine turned off struggled to start. had it tested and there was no power from the alternator to the battery. changed alternator for refurbishd one and still exactly the same. not sure if electrical problem.. tried every fuse. fine. HELP

Check earth lead is intact firstly,then is battery okay condition producing 12volts or over,then is the lead between battery and alternator ok.then is the alternator charging ok. Also are any codes logged .hope this is of some help ,the only other thing is are all main fuses intact .

checked all fuses, ok, checking earth, can be started off jump leads but no power from alternator to battery

If you check with a multimeter directly onto your alternator terminal with one end and to earth with another with the engine running you should be getting output if none then the alternator is not working as intended.

have you tried refitting the after market cd player as this could be cause of fault

Check readings at alternator, If the alternator is working well, your multi-meter should read somewhere in the vicinity of 14 volts (typically 13.8).  If it is reading excessively higher than 14 volts (greater than 15 volts) it is possible that the voltage regulator on your alternator is faulty or going bad (try turning everything on in car)  If it is reading lower than 13-14 volts, bring up eng revs to 2000 if still not right check cable mate if still bad you know wear the fault is mate
