Vauxhall Combo letter f in transmission display & wont start

car not been used over this cold weather - now wont start as if got flat battery - getting the letter F in the transmission display window instead of N R A / M - tried jump leads = still wont start

And it wont,the F means gearbox self diagnose has found a fault.
Check your brake lights are coming on when pressed,this is the first part of the diagnostic routine,no brake lights,or faulty switch will flag the "F" fault,
after this it's code reading time,and on these boxes it usually means big bucks!!
Better be sitting down for the estimate.
