Vauxhall Cascada something appears to be draining battery as won’t start after 1 week and stop/start has stopped working, battery replaced with new one last november

Car: Vauxhall Cascada
Variant: 2.0 Elite
Model Year: 2016

The car will start after about4 days but went to Wales on holiday for 1 week and flat as a pancake on return. The stop start worked when the battery was new but won’t work now, even after long run. The battery wasn’t cheap but don’t understand why it doesn’t seem to work the stop start after a long run. Had the alternator checked today and that appears to be working ok.

Stop / start wont operate if battery voltage is low . If alternator is o.k you need to get battery LOAD tested and voltage checked or charge battery fully rather than depend on a long drive to do so as often not adequate enough
