Vauxhall Cascada boot won't close

Car: Vauxhall Cascada
Variant: 1.6
Model Year: 2016
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
The boot once opened won't close, push the boot release and drop the boot repeatedly can take 8 or 9 attempts to close it. Tried lubricant but hasn't helped

You pulled the boot cover and sprayed the lock assembly with WD40 or similar might help but probably need new lock

Thanks for your reply, I've tried that but didn't work. The boot opens first time every time its on the closing that's the Problem. Do you still think new lock if it opens every time.

Could still possibly be an internal fault on lock if boot adjustment is o.k , Try this , open a window or a door and try closing . A long shot but on some cars the build up of air pressure inside the car on closing can sometimes affect closing .
