Vauxhall Astra main beam not working

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: 1.6 club
Model Year: 2003
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hi, I have an issue with the main beam only on my Mk4 Astra. The dash switch can turn on both side lights but when turned to main beam there is no change, just side lights. However I am able to get full beam by using the arm as normal on the steering column. Could this be a faulty dash switch as the bulbs are clearly working correctly as a full beam.....

Almost sure on that year of Astra the main beam and dipped are two seperate / different bulbs .On a lot of other cars the h/lamps can be twin filament and one side only can fail .
