Vauxhall Astra radiator fan not working to ccol the engine

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Variant: 1.6 Estate
Model Year: 1995
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
when drivinh along, the engine starts to get hot but the fan does not kick in. I have tested the fan on its own to check it works and it does. There must be a connection problem or something. Also none of the interior lights work and the engine will not start without a jump start. HELP!

Check all fuses . If not that , check rad fan switch / sensor .Test battery if car starts with a jump start .

Faulty thermostatic switch,or maybe a short circuit somewhere could have knocked a fuse out.
