Vauxhall Astra there is play in both rear wheels

hi, i done a part exchange with a garage on doin that the owner said it,l have a full mot after 2 weeks of driving i noticed that both of the rear wheels have play in them,i,d checked the obbvious that the wheel nuts were tight there is a humming noise while driving...is it possible the wheel bearing are on there way out and what do i do as ive rang the man and he said there was no problem when they mot,ed it (basically just fobbed me off) where do i go from here as the cost of the wheel bearings and labour is more than i can afford,thanks.....

its your wheel bearings that need replacing both if there humming too i would try to get something back from the garage that sold you the car as bearings dont just go like that not even play in the wheel as this will effect your tyres to uneven wear and effect the brakes to as not braking evenly hope this helps

How many miles has car done since MOT ? Was the noise rear since you got the car ?

hi,the car has only 65k on clock and there was a slight humming noise when i left the garage..

sorry, the car has done around 300 miles since mot and yes the noise is rear its mainly drivers side rear wheel with most play
