Common on Astras / Corsas , emulsified oil on filler cap and breather hoses . Provided you are not losing any coolant , just normal . Gets worse if used for short journeys . If you were losing water and cooling system pressurising with the emulsified oil , then head gasket gone .

This is from another forum re. same fault ,
Corsa D engine mayonaise
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A bit long winded but advice reqd. We have a Corsa D 1.2 Design as a second car, 57 plate with 5500 miles on the clock. At 6 months and 2000 miles I noticed a build up of yellow c**p around the oil filler and on further investigation the rocker cover was full of the stuff and it had blocked the breather pipes. This was cleaned and oil / filter changed. At the 1 year service (4000 miles) the same condition was found and again this was cleaned and refitted. I have put this down to condensation in the engine as it only does short (2 - 3 mile journeys). Recently this has changed and the car now does 8 - 9 mile journeys with a longer run every now and then. The problem still exists and after 4 months and 1500 miles since the last oil change we have visited the dealer for them to look at the car. The car has been serviced using Vaux parts supplied by the same dealer but serviced by a family member at another (non vaux) garage. They put a dye in the cooling system (even though we aren't losing any water) to try and see if it is a water leak through the cyl head - nothing found . They did quibble at a warranty claim as the car was not serviced "correctly" but agreed to look at it after a very persistant conversation. Feedback from the dealer indicates that they and Vaux have had a number of issues with this problem but are unable to rectify. Advised to change the oil every 3000 miles to minimise the build up ( £57 for oil and filter change).
