Gearbox & Clutch
I keep getting stuck in gear sometimes it will let change gear then it won't, the clutch pedal goes soft and have to press it to the floor and it won't let me go in or out of gear so it turned engine off and waited for 5mins started it back up and it worked for about a mile changed through all the gears fine then it stuck in second wouldn't come out of gear the clutch pedal had no resistance to it when pressed, the fuild level is fine. Does anyone know what the problem could be would appreciate your help, thanks

Could be either the clutch master cyl. or slave cyl or both worn and drawing air into system .There was a recall for this fault but it was on the diesels .

Hi, thank you for letting me know I appreciate it, is it a big job to change both cylinders? Should I have the clutch changed as well when they do this?, thanks for your help

I'm not a 100% sure if that year has a concentric clutch release bearing but I think it has . If that's correct it means removing the gearbox to access it and replace . Always a good idea to replace / check the clutch assembly at same time when box out . Remembering to clean spigot shaft splines also prior to refitting . On the new clutch bearing you should have a new pipe / hose which was also suspect and modified . I think you can buy cheaper , foreign part where no pipe is supplied , avoid
